DemoTag How to use
Set your persona name and an optional context note in the popup. Pick a color and click Apply. The label appears on the page immediately and the tab title updates to match. Drag the label to any position by grabbing the handle on the left side. Each tab remembers its label position independently. To remove the label, use the toggle in the top right of the popup.
- Does DemoTag work on all websites?
- DemoTag works on all websites except those listed in Known issues and limitations below.
- The label disappeared after I navigated to a new page.
- Some websites block content scripts. If the label does not appear, the site is restricting what extensions can run on that page. There is no workaround.
- Why is my tab title not updating?
- Make sure the extension is toggled on and you have clicked Apply after setting your persona. If the tab title still does not update, refresh the page.
- Can I run different personas across different tabs?
- Not in the current version. All tabs share the same persona within a Chrome profile. To run multiple personas at the same time, open a separate Chrome window under a different Chrome profile for each one.
- Does DemoTag slow down my browser?
- No. The extension adds a lightweight overlay to each page and listens for navigation events. There is no measurable impact on browser performance.
DemoFocus How to use
Open the DemoFocus panel before your demo. Work through the checklist to confirm your browser is set up. The checklist is read-only. It prompts recall. It does not track completions. Click Apply to reset browser zoom to 100% across all open tabs. Use the toggles to activate cursor halo, click highlight, or mute tab. The status dot is visible whenever any toggle is active. To deactivate all tools, turn off each toggle individually.

- Does the cursor halo appear in screen share?
- Yes. The cursor halo is rendered on the page as a visual overlay. It is visible to your audience during any screen share that captures the browser window.
- Can I customize the checklist?
- Not in the current version. Checklist customization is planned for a future release.
- Does DemoFocus affect browser performance?
- No. The visual overlays are lightweight and scoped to the active tab. There is no measurable impact on browser performance.
Neither extension can run on chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store, or PDF files opened directly in the browser. These are platform restrictions and cannot be changed.
